About The Awards

The CIPS Africa Excellence in Procurement Awards will be celebrating and showcasing the ways in which procurement teams have adapted and overcome challenges in the procurement industry.  

We are looking for innovative, engaging, and inspirational submissions and we know you have many success stories to tell.

This year we have 15 categories open for entries:

Team Categories

  5. Best Procurement Transformation Programme

  7. Best Sustainability Project of the Year
  8. Best Use of Digital Technology
  9. Outstanding Diversity & Inclusion Practices in Procurement Teams
  10. Outstanding People Development Programme
  11. Public Procurement Project Of The Year
  12. Procurement Team of the Year – Large Organisation
  13. Procurement Team of the Year – Small Organisation

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Download the award submission entry kit here
  2. Read the full description of the category carefully
  3. Judges are looking for mature projects that have a large percentage of results delivered so choosing the timing for a project is critical.
  4. Complete the entry form for the categories you would like to enter:
  5. Write a 100-word summary for your project (please note, we may publish this on the website if you are shortlisted, so do not include any confidential or sensitive information).
  6. For each category you will be asked to answer five questions about your project. This will comprise your entry content. The specific questions for each category can be found below.
  7. Collate up to three pages of supporting material for your entry.
  8. Include a high-resolution company logo and team photo which we can use if you are shortlisted
  9. Submit your entry via the entry submission form Friday 04 August.
  10. Please note: entries will not be submitted without the entry fee being paid. After your submission we will contact you regarding payment.
